We first came into contact with 19 yr old Kieran “Mumble” Leigh when we caught him killin’ the drums performing with his band “Atlas” and knew from that moment, whenever we started our drum breaks series Mumble would be the first drummer we approached to make a sample pack with us.

Fast forward a few months later and after a long session at the fantastic London Road Studios we present 50 fresh, live drum breaks that are full of character and vibe. Engineered by Max Hopwood and mixed by The Passion HiFi these drums were recorded through Neve and API pre-amps to add that classic old school, soulful warmth and treated with a Manley Passive EQ to really bring the drums to life and add that much needed punch.

We finally mixed them down to 1/4 inch tape and bounced them back into the computer for additional editing and treatment, ensuring that you can use these right away with the minimum of eq’ing and mixing.

Be warned! these are not breaks designed to just shuffle along in the background of a beat, with the punchy kicks and crisp snares that make these breaks, these will be more than enough to be the driving force of any track!
